Sirocco is a kakapo living on Codfish Island in New Zealand. He has become very accustomed to human interaction due to an illness he had as a baby that required human intervention. He even 'booms' his mating call for his human friends, but not for other kakapo!

Sirocco makes regular trips away from his home to NZ's mainlands to help educate the world about kakapo and togive everyone a chance to interact with one of these incredible birds up close and in person.
